“Still So Grateful”: “Boy Meets World” Star Trina McGee Has Revealed That She Had A Miscarriage Soon After Announcing Her “Shock” Pregnancy At Age 54

The former Boy Meets World star, now 55, fought back tears as she and her husband, Marcello Thedford, opened up about their tragic loss on The Tamron Hall Show on Monday. 

For context, back in June, Trina took to her Instagram page to ask fans for “prayers for a safe delivery” as she wrote: “At the tender age of 54 I have found myself pregnant.”

Trina is already mom to three adult children, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Courtland Davis. She split from Courtland in 2001, and married Marcello in 2008.

Two weeks after her Instagram announcement, Trina confirmed in an interview with People that she was 12 weeks pregnant, adding that the pregnancy had been “completely natural” and came as a “shock” to her.

Trina said that she suffered “a lot of depression after,” adding: “Just kind of hard to get out of bed. There’s so many things that come when you really want a family, and you want your family to be complete.”

“There’s so many dreams that you have,” she went on. “It was very hard to face the fact that it’s not going to happen at this point in the junction.”

Marcello later joined Trina on the show, and revealed that they had named their baby Sunny as he confirmed that they did not know the baby’s sex. 

“It’s been hard,” he told Tamron. “You’re talking to a man who just a couple of months ago or so was holding her belly every night, talking to the baby.”

“I feel sometimes it really is better to let go and let God,” she added.

Trina also revealed that she and Marcello are currently fostering “a beautiful little girl” in Belize, where they live, sharing: “We’d just really like a tribe, we’d like a family… We just have a lot of love to give, and we’d like to share it.”
