Selena Gomez’s Reaction To Losing At The Emmys Is Going Viral For The Best Reason

ICYMI: The 2024 Emmy Awards took place last night!

Among all the standout moments of the evening, one particular clip of Selena Gomez is now going viral on social media.

The clip shows Selena’s reaction to losing her Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Selena was nominated for her role in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building alongside Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Maya Rudolph (Loot), Jean Smart (Hacks), and Kristen Wiig (Palm Royale).

Jean ended up taking home the award, marking her sixth Emmy win. As she made her way onto the stage, the cameras filmed Selena’s reaction — which, it turns out, she perfectly predicted a week ago.

Last Wednesday, Selena appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon alongside her Only Murders costars Steve Martin and Martin Short.

During the talk show, the Rare singer was asked to act out how she’d react if she lost her Emmy nomination. She slowly nodded and clapped while looking to her side and miming, “She should’ve won,” to her costar.

Well, at the 2024 Emmys, she did exactly that!
